Spende des Weinachtsmarkterlöses geht an die ‚Soziale Stadt Steinbach‘

For the third time, the Phorms Frankfurt Taunus Campus was represented at the Christmas market in Steinbach on 8th and 9th December 2018. Again the children have made Christmas cards and were busy baking cookies with their parents. Despite the uncomfortable weather, the donation sum of the previous year could once again be exceeded.
Since we wanted to donate locally, we have selected this year again, the wonderful project "Christmas - different !?" realized by the local church of St. Boniface in cooperation with the "Social City Steinbach" and the women's meeting "Time for us". The goal “No one should have to be alone on Christmas Eve” will be happy to receive € 700,- financial support on time, because the entire money collected at the Phorms stand was completely handed over on 13.12.2018 to Mrs. Bärbel Andresen of the ,Social City Steinbach' by the students spokesmen Benny and Hermes. Also a few portions of cookies were handed over.  Mrs. Andresen also thanked on behalf of the city of Steinbach and is looking forward to the celebration on the 24th of December 2018, which will take place for the third time this year.
Mrs. Miller, chairwoman of the School Parents Council, was very proud of the great result. She thanked the many hard-working helpers, who took time for this great idea, despite the hustle and bustle that Advent brings.
In addition this year, a group of 22 Phorms students accompanied by their music teacher Bernd Winter encouraged Christmas visitors on Saturday, 8.12.2018 at 17:00 hrs, to sing along on the Steinbach market place with Christmas songs, which has also been very successful. Head of Secondary School Jan Fuchs, and Business Manager Alexander Thoms were also extremely satisfied with the atmosphere at the Christmas market, the commitment of the pupils and parents and the renewed choice of a Steinbach project for the donations, as "Phorms is a part of Steinbach".
