Hinter den Kulissen: Engagement und Vorbereitung
Die Vorbereitungen für diese aufregende Veranstaltung begannen bereits im Unterricht. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler setzten sich intensiv mit den Wahlprogrammen der verschiedenen Parteien auseinander. Dies war nicht nur eine Gelegenheit, politische Bildung zu vertiefen, sondern auch, um ein tieferes Verständnis für die politischen Prozesse und die Bedeutung der Wahlbeteiligung zu entwickeln.
Ein besonderer Dank gebührt den Wahlhelferinnen und Wahlhelfern aus der Klasse 8a und der Einführungsphase. Mit großem Engagement gestalteten sie die Wahleinladungen und unterstützten die "Bürgerinnen und Bürger" im Wahllokal. Diese jungen Menschen zeigten nicht nur ihr Interesse an der Demokratie, sondern trugen auch dazu bei, dass die Juniorwahl reibungslos ablief.
Die Wahl und die Spannung
Am Wahltag fanden sich die Schülerinnen und Schüler im Wahllokal ein und gaben ihre Stimmen ab. Die Aufregung war förmlich spürbar, da sie die Gelegenheit hatten, selbst in die Rolle aktiver Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu schlüpfen. Jede Stimme zählte, und die Schülerinnen und Schüler waren stolz darauf, ihren Beitrag zur Gestaltung der politischen Zukunft zu leisten.
Nach der Wahl wurden die Ergebnisse auf das hessenweite Portal übertragen. Nun begann das Warten auf die Ergebnisse der Juniorwahl, während gleichzeitig die Vorbereitungen für die echte Landtagswahl am 8. Oktober in vollem Gange waren. Die Spannung war förmlich greifbar, und die Schülerinnen und Schüler verfolgten gespannt, wie sich die Ergebnisse entwickelten.

Und dann war es soweit: Die Ergebnisse der Juniorwahl wurden veröffentlicht. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler waren begeistert von dieser Aktion und den Ergebnissen. Es war ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis, das ihre Begeisterung für die Demokratie und die Bedeutung ihrer Stimmen weiter gestärkt hat.
Die Juniorwahl am Taunus Campus war nicht nur eine lehrreiche Erfahrung, sondern auch eine Demonstration dessen, was passiert, wenn junge Menschen aktiv in die Gestaltung ihrer Gesellschaft eingebunden werden. Es ist ermutigend zu sehen, wie engagierte Schülerinnen und Schüler die demokratischen Werte und Prozesse schätzen und sich dafür einsetzen. Democracy thrives on the participation of its citizens, and where better to learn this important lesson than in school? On October 4, 2023, the students of the Gymnasium am Taunus Campus had the unique opportunity to experience the basics of our democracy firsthand. In an exciting project, prepared in the politics and ethics classes, the junior election was held for the state election in Hesse. The students were enthusiastic and motivated to get involved in this democratic process.
Behind the scenes: Commitment and preparation
Preparations for this exciting event began in class. The students intensively studied the election programs of the various parties. This was not only an opportunity to deepen political education, but also to develop a deeper understanding of the political processes and the importance of electoral participation.
Special thanks are due to the election helpers from Class 8a and the introductory phase. With great commitment, they designed the election invitations and supported the "citizens" at the polling station. These young people not only showed their interest in democracy, but also contributed to the smooth running of the junior election.

Now the wait for the results of the junior election began, while at the same time preparations for the real state election on October 8 were in full swing.
